How can I upgrade or downgrade my Event?

Event upgrades and downgrades can be made by emailing our support team at enquiries@melbournemarathon.com.au.


If you are wanting to downgrade: 

Before 11:59pm August 9 - If you change to a race of lesser value you will be entitled to a receive a refund equal to the difference between the entry fee of the relevant Event races less a $15 administration charge. 

From 12am August 10 -  You will not receive any refund of your original Event entry fee. If you change your distance during this time it is your responsibility to swap your bib at the race week office during opening hours on Saturday 11th December. Failure to do so will result in my race time not being recorded. 


If you are wanting to upgrade: Please include what event you are registered for and what event you would like to go into (remembering to include what wave you'd like to enter). If you are upgrading we require the CVC of the credit card used during registration to process the price rise.

Upgrades/downgrades can be requested up until 11:59pm December 5th 2021. Changes can be made after this, but they must be done in person at our Race Week Office.

Please note: You will not be able to downgrade/upgrade to a sold out event if you registered after the date of that particular event selling out.
